21st Birthday Poems

A New Beginning

We finally are the age of 21!
Our life now has just begun.
We can go out and enjoy ourselves
We can go out and have a party!
Let’s go have some fun
Let’s do what we couldn’t do.
Let’s get the party started
And not stop until sunup

The World Anew Today you are finally 21!
We are so proud of you.
You are a wonderful son
and you’ll see the world anew.
Doors are open that were closed
And there are new responsibilities
You’ll be seeing different things
That every twenty one year old sees.

"Turning 21"
You know you’re getting older when
You’re turning twenty-one.
Here’s one result:
You’re an adult.
You’re in a state
To celebrate.
You go to bars
With legal card.
You use your skills.
to pay your bills.
And don’t relax,
Your work is taxed.
And one more note,
You have the vote.
It’s all brand new,
That much is true.
You know you’re getting older when
You’re turning twenty-one.

Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
Now that your legal
The first round is on you

Now that you're twenty and one...
It's time you should have some real fun...
So enlist in the Army,
Do something real smarmy,
And vote in a new son of a gun!

Today my friend you have evolved into a man
just yesterday you were 20 now today your twenty one
I see a lot of bar hopping on the horizon
I also see us riding in the paddy wagon

Happy birthday to a special friend!
Although I haven't known you many years,
Perhaps because you've dried so many tears,
Pleasure reigns as I these greetings send.
Your happiness should last till all things end!
Because you've been so sweet and understanding--
In toughest times you've made me laugh and smile--
Rejoice in your own specialness awhile:
This I'm not requesting but demanding!
How else to make yourself the celebration,
Doing what does not come naturally?
Always your concern has been for me,
Yet now you must endure my adoration.
